The Trophy RIDE

A few years ago the Valkyrie Riders Cruiser Club had what they called the Thor’s Hammer Ride. The idea was to have a relay type ride that would go thru every state and the Hammer and a Banner would be passed between members.  It was a big success and in fact the next year members from Europe took the banner and hammer and did the same type ride. The GOAL of the ride was to bring members together. The ride surpassed everyone dreams.

The Ride club is a lot smaller but I think we can do a similar ride. We should be able to pass the Banner or scrapbook and trophy from one chapter to the next relay style, or bring it to each chapter like spokes on a wheel reaching out from the hubs (Grand Rapids, and Detroit) to each chapter. Then along the way we can take photos of all the places the Trophy goes and track  it's route across a banner or in scrapbook.

 So even if you can’t make it to Key West, the Smokey Mts. or any other place we dream of riding, When you hold that Trophy we will share a common bond and you my feel like a little part of you has made it to those places. The trophy and banner/scrapbook have no real value until they are shared with our friends.

The banner or scrapbook will be important to keep track of the riders that took part in the RIDE and places that our RIDE has touched.  When it's filled we will have a history of it’s travels and a symbol to the sprit of RIDE MOTORCYCLE and it members.   Plus it’s a great excuse to ride.
