So what is a "Chilly Burger"?
A Ride Motorcycle Club Level 3 Challenge defined as follows: "The only qualification for this patch is to posses a south bound motorcycle toll ticket for the Mackinaw Bridge dated any time in December, January or February." It is a Chilly Burger because it is a ride to what Michiganders call the "Big Mac" Bridge in the heart of Michigan's winter. If you do it in two of the three months you can get a Double Decker Chilly Burger and if you do it in all three winter months you get a Triple Decker Chilly Burger. It usually means that you ride your bike from Grand Rapids, MI or Detroit, MI to St. Ignace, MI. This is a 500 to 600 mile round trip in very cold weather. The following pictures are of "Mule" Dennis
Johnson and "Cruisen" Robert Croese of the Grand Rapids Chapter
and their seperate February, 2007 Chilly Burger rides. .
